FAQ's for Donors

What is Clubhouse Giving Day?

An online giving event that provides Clubhouses the opportunity for their local community to come together and raise funds, and celebrate the incredible network of Clubhouses across the U.S. and around the world. Last year, 51 Clubhouses joined us to collective raise nearly $180,000!

When is it?

Clubhouse Giving Day is June 4, 2024. Registration opens March 1, and the advanced giving period begins on May 21.

What is GiveGab?

GiveGab is a platform that helps nonprofits to raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently.

Who can donate?

Anyone with a credit card and access to the internet. Offline donations can be manually uploaded. Clubhousegivingday.org displays all currencies in USD. If making donations outside of the U.S., donors should be aware of currency conversion rates that may impact the final donation amount reflected on your bank account statement.

What forms of donations are accepted?

GiveGab platform can process MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, or by ACH. No donations via check, cash, or stock can be accepted via the platform.

Can I make donations via a mobile device?

Yes! Simply visit www.clubhousegivingday.org

Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?

Yes. Receipts are automatically generated at the time of donation.

Are these donations tax-deductible?

Generally, yes. However, donors should consult their personal tax advisor as to the tax deductibility of the donation.

Is there a minimum gift?

There is a $5 minimum donation.

Can I designate how the Clubhouses use their gift?

All donations made during the Giving Day are generally considered unrestricted gifts unless the Clubhouse has specified particular programs/uses on its giving page.

How much of the donation will go to the Clubhouse?

100% of every donation will go to the Clubhouse listed in the check-out ‘cart’, less credit card transactions and processing fees. You may 'cover' the fees to ensure more of your donation goes to the Clubhouse.

Why are there fees in my check-out cart?

There is a 3.5% processing fee and a 2.5% (+$0.30) bank fee for donations made via credit card. If your donation is $100 or more, you have the option to give via ACH transfer, which incurs a 3.5% processing fee and a $3 bank fee. Depending on the amount of your gift, fees may be less via ACH transfer than via credit card. These fees are passed through from our vendor (not Clubhouses or Clubhouse International). We have asked donors to 'cover' these fees to reduce the expenses incurred by participating Clubhouses; simply uncheck the box if you do not wish to cover the fees associated with your gift.

Do I need to create an account with GiveGab?

No. You do not need to create an account to make a donation. Your tax receipt is emailed immediately upon processing your donation. To claim a donation as a deduction on U.S. taxes, you should retain the donation receipt as an official record.

Who will receive my contact information?

Clubhouse International and the Clubhouse(s) you choose to support will have access to your name and email address. Clubhouse International will not directly solicit you unless you have made a gift to them.

What if I can't find my favorite Clubhouse on the website?

If you can't find them on the site, they may not be participating this year. Please email mmenzel@clubhouse-intl.org if you cannot find your Clubhouse.
