FAQ’s for Clubhouses

Who is GiveGab?

GiveGab is an online giving platform that helps nonprofits raise money, engage donors, and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently. GiveGab offers a full portfolio of simple and easy-to-use products that allow organizations to function in a more streamlined manner. Your profile on GiveGab is available 365 days a year for fundraising and volunteer management should you choose to use it beyond the giving day.

What Clubhouses are eligible for the Giving Day?

Clubhouses must be members in good standing of Clubhouse International and have a current 501(c)3 status (if in the U.S.). Clubhouses outside of the U.S. are welcome to participate; however please note that all donations are made in USD and the giving day time period and prize qualification periods are all Eastern Daylight Savings Time.

When does Clubhouse registration close?

In order to participate in Clubhouse Giving Day, Clubhouses must register by April 11, 2025.

What does it cost to register?

Clubhouse International is asking for a small registration fee, based on budget size, to help offset Clubhouse Giving Day costs, that you will be asked to pay when you register. If this fee is problematic, please email esmith@clubhouse-intl.org.

What are the prizes and how do we qualify?

We will be soliciting prizes right up until Clubhouse Giving Day. Information on particular prizes will be uploaded when they are funded. If you are interested in sponsoring a prize, please email esmith@clubhouse-intl.org.

What is a “unique donor”?

For the purposes of awarding prizes, a unique donor is one individual or corporation/business. Multiple donations from one donor to the same nonprofit will count as one gift. Clubhouses cannot donate to themselves.

How are donations distributed?

Each donation made to a participating Clubhouse is disbursed directly to the Clubhouse from GiveGab via direct deposit on a 5-business-day rolling schedule.

When I check the box on GiveGab to declare state charitable solicitation registration compliance, what am I attesting to?

When you check the box you are attesting (defined as “declaring that something exists or is the case”) that your Clubhouse is compliant with applicable state fundraising requirements in the U.S. Generally, this will be your home state.

For Clubhouses outside the U.S. please check ‘yes’.

Do you have additional resources to reference about state charitable solicitation registration?

Yes! Here are a few helpful links:

I'm a Clubhouse outside of the US, how will the Raisely integration impact me?

Clubhouses outside of the United States still need to register on clubhousegivingday.org. More information will be coming soon about your specific profile and how to set that up.

Is there a minimum gift?

There is a $5 minimum donation.

Can I designate how the Clubhouses use their gift?

All donations made during the Giving Day are generally considered unrestricted gifts unless the Clubhouse has specified particular programs/uses on their giving page.

How much of the donation will go to the Clubhouse?

All donations made to the Clubhouse, less credit card transaction and processing fees, will be directed to the Clubhouse as designated. You may ‘cover’ the fees and ensure more of your donation goes to the Clubhouse.

Why are there fees in my check-out cart?

There is a 3.5% processing fee and a 2.5% (+.30) bank fee for donations made via credit card. If your donation is $100 or more, you have the option to give via ACH transfer, which incurs a 3.5% processing fee and a $3 bank fee. Depending on the amount of your gift, fees may be less via ACH transfer than via credit card. These fees are passed through from our vendor (not Clubhouses or Clubhouse International). We have asked donors to ‘cover’ these fees to reduce the expenses incurred by participating Clubhouses; simply uncheck the box if you do not wish to cover the fees associated with your gift.

Do I need to create an account with GiveGab?

No. You do not need to create an account to make a donation. Your tax receipt is emailed immediately upon processing your donation. To claim a donation as a deduction on U.S. taxes, you should retain the donation receipt as an official record.

Who will receive my contact information?

Clubhouse International and the Clubhouse(s) you choose to support will have access to your name and email address. Clubhouse International will not directly solicit you unless you have made a gift to them.

What if I can’t find my favorite Clubhouse on the website?

If you can’t find them on the site, they may not be participating this year. Please email esmith@clubhouse-intl.org if you cannot find your Clubhouse.
